Living Your Plan Course

Third in our sequence of self-management classes, this six-week class focuses on offering support and tools for implementing a self-management plan. The course includes weekly goal-setting and discussion around a course theme, which changes each quarter.

Cost & Registration

The course is offered at no charge but registration is limited to people who have completed both our Introductory Self-Help course and the Creating Your Plan class. The course text is available online as a downloadable PDF file. Register.

Schedule

Topics

Each quarter is devoted to a single topic in rotation. Topics include:

  • Managing symptoms
  • Key skills in pacing 
  • Obstacles to pacing and how to overcome them
  • Managing emotions
  • Stress and healing 
  • Reducing mental suffering
  • Improving relationships
  • Moving from loss to a new life
  • Self-management skills

Course Details

  • 6 weeks long
  • Groups consist of about 15 people each
  • Led by trained peer volunteers (people with CFS or fibromyalgia)
  • Taught via list server (email). All you need is an email address to participate
  • Open to people who have completed our Introductory Self-Help course and the Creating Your Plan class
